Aubrey turns 5!!!

Our Aubrey Grace has turned 5!!! Wow...time is flying by. This girl is personality and then some! Her face is so expressive and her heart is so tender. She is a people person, she loves being where the people are. If she talks to someone for more than 2 minutes, they are her newest closest friend =) She loves school for snack time and recess ;-)

For her birthday this year, she chose Chuck E. Cheese once again. After carefully selecting her list of friends, we prepared for her party only to have 3 families end up with last minute cancellations. My heart broke for her when she asked on the morning of her birthday which friends were coming and I had to tell her of all the ones who couldn't come. Fortunately Aubrey has this personality to feel an emotion, very sad and wanting to invite more friends to come to the party in an hour and a half!, but then she moves onto her next emotion of being excited for her birthday party. I pray that she never loses this ability to keep her emotions so self-limiting.

Happy 5th birthday Aubrey!!
At our house, you get to chose the birthday menu on your day. Aubrey is our breakfast queen. She likes breakfast, brunch and binner (breakfast for dinner!). Breakfast was donuts and eggs, dinner was cream of wheat! Candles for all meals please!
See what I mean about personality?!?!
Party fun: an air-jam session with a balloon guitar, pizza, and Chuck E. Cheese giving a birthday hug
Crown, presents and party friends!
The real reason Aubrey wanted her birthday at Chuck E. Cheese was a chance to go in the TICKET BLASTER! She definitely was excited!! And she even got to choose a friend to help her. Logan was the lucky helper =)
One final birthday hoorah!
Sisters snuggled up to watch a movie together.
Aubrey's birthday celebration at preschool. Ella, Ainsley and I brought donuts for Aubrey and her friends.

Insta- life April

All I can say for these last two months is PHEW! Busy fun, busy crazy, busy life... Aubrey is out of school, Ella will be out before I know it. Once again I'm in blog catch up mode :-0 As always, Instagram provides a brief glimpse of what we have been up to!

Aubrey was star of the week! She had show and tell each day, and her friends got to ask questions about her star board =) She was BEYOND proud of her rainbow star board with gold glittery name!

Spring really is coming! Ella is our creative tinker fairy, using her tools and random pieces of wood to make her latest creation. Aubrey joined me on the blanket for an afternoon snack. Ainsley enjoyed it being warm enough and dry enough for bare feet!!

Sunshine and my girls...this momma's heart is overflowing!

Italian sodas to celebrate the fact that today Aubrey is 5!!!!

For a momma who HATES peanut butter, even the smell of peanut butter, this was the ultimate worst mess! It started out as some peanut butter to dip pretzels and apple slices in for lunch; Ainsley turned it into a new kind of lotion...the stickiest, smelliest kind =0

Egg dying fun! Not pictured are Amah, Grandma Marian, daddy and mommy. It was a fun family affair!

No trip to the Children's Museum is complete without face painting. Aubrey chose to try out a new animal and wanted her face paint to look like a butterfly. "Make sure to make it symmetrical!" she told me. Nubby pieces of oily chalk on skin isn't the easiest thing to make symmetrical! Ainsley loves to "roar!"

Get up early. Stay up late. Change the world. Fitting lid from Dutch Bros on our way to Girl Scout camp!

Troop #45671 enjoying the many activities of Camp Yamhill. Rain isn't going to stand in the way of our fun!

Much much more to come...soon I hope!
