{Let is snow, let it snow}

Wheew!!! I did it! We are caught up to January 2012. So far this has been a fairly busy year for us already and we have lots more excitement in store for us this year. We traveled to Riddle for the last of our Christmas celebrations over New Years weekend. Ella was very grateful to be able to go back to school when we got home. She was convinced that the Christmas break was the end to her school career!

We've known for a few months that Grandpa Rick was going to need the girls and I to come down to help him out after his upcoming surgery. A date was picked fairly randomly for the surgery that seemed to work well with my work schedule and Ella would only miss 2 days of school. Sounds like a great plan! Then mother nature threw us a wrench... snow! Lots of snow for this area, rain followed by more and more rain.

The day we were scheduled to head to Riddle we woke up to a dusting of snow. The girls were SUPER excited to go out and play in it, despite the fact that there was barely enough snow to leave a footprint in ;-)
Aubrey, the perfect example of an Oregon snow bunny- rainboots, skirt and hat!
Ella is even more die-hard, she goes out in tights!
Neal ended up working from home the first 2 days of the week because there was a fair amount of snow at our house. Grandpa Rick's wasn't quite the same story. There was a couple of inches Monday morning that the girls were able to play in, but the rain quickly came! We might just have to make a trip up to the snow to let the girls really "play" in the snow this winter =)

Well now that the ol' blog is caught up, I guess I have no excuse not to tackle the other items on my to-do list. Currently it isn't very long:
-paint Ella and Aubrey's room
-decorate the nursery
-name the baby!!!

Here's wishing everyone a great start to this new year, even if it is about a month late!!
