Example- I was reading the girls a story one evening and inadvertently said "he" when the book said "it." Ella proceeded to then explain to me, "It says 'it' because it could be a boy or a girl, its not just about a boy or girl.'" You are correct Ella, and very smart for a 6 year old kindergartener!!
Aubrey. This girl is our class clown. She would much rather put on a silly face, flip around the room and be crazy as to sit down and just practicing writing her letters. In fact, she sits down to practice writing letters and we get about 3 or 4 good ones-- then she gets crazy. "That's a Chinese A" aka scribbles on the paper!
However, she has surprised me as well. I would never consider her "quiet" or "silent" but I'm realizing that is exactly how she learns. In all of her craziness, she is storing away all sorts of information. Example- she had a penny that she wanted to put in her piggy bank. She asks me to get her the pink piggy bank down because that is where the pennies go. She is sorting her money! It may seem small but I was so surprised that she has comprehended sorting and developed a method for doing it!
Mommy. This blog really is my outlet to step back, remember all those funny/touching/shake my head moments. I'm learning that if nothing else I need to update the blog to pause for the chaos of life with 3 little girls to appreciate this life I have with 3 busy little girls...and a hubby!
